It’s strange to me that life rarely ever turns out the way people intend. When I was 5 years old, I wanted to be a country singer. When I was 12, I wanted to be a teacher. When I was in college, I decided on law school. I’m now about to be 30, and I’m working in the tech industry for a startup company. And I couldn’t be happier. I imagine this kind of thing happens more often than people discuss, but that’s not the point.
The point is, I’ve made some things in my life a priority, and being true to myself is at the top of that list (oddly that wasn’t always the case). Part of being me is being creative – things from baking adorable cupcakes, crafting weird things, organizing ridiculous parties, and occasionally dressing my pug up in stupid costumes. I’m also a total nerd, I’m a bit goofy, and I like to write. I write beer reviews occasionally over at http://www.bottlecapbombshell.com, though I don’t write nearly as much as I used to.
I recently decided that beer shouldn’t be my only literary outlet. Also, many friends have mentioned a craft or baking blog, so here I am. I hope you enjoy my random crafting, the pug pictures and the nerdiness.
Also if you want to get to know me a little more – you know, beyond this blog – you can always find me on the social media thingymadoodles here:
